The Knowledge and Culture to overcome poverty and suffering.
Book created for the ‘In the Name of Africa’ event (Rome, Bologna, and Milan) by CEFA, a non-profit organization working to beat the world hunger. This book focuses on the importance to knowledge and culture as essential instruments to overcome poverty and suffering. The images of the Vitruvian Man and others drawings from the Codices of Leonardo da Vinci stand alongside those ones of the activities of CEFA in Africa in order to show the beauties of Leonardo (his mechanical, artistic, and cartographic research) and those ones of the results of the interventions of CEFA in Africa and of the participation of the local populations who become protagonists of their own changing.
The book contains a drawing by the master Altan made esclusively for this project.
With a text by Fabio Scaletti.
Photos by Simone Casetta.
