The exhibition of rare finds and the valuable catalogue are inspired by the Pope Benedetto XVI Message addressed to the President of Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, on the 150th anniversary of the Italian political Unification (March 17, 2011). The volume shows the exposed material taken from the valuable heritage of the Lateranense Library; documents, pages, and texts that have contributed to the foundation of Italian Nation. The reproduction of title-pages and pages of the volumes make this collection a precious journey into the intellectual and book culture that has conspired to making Italy a united nation thanks to the significant aid of Christian faith.
