A Great Work

“The synthesis created by the artist is extreme and ingenious; if the profile speaks to us of the nobility of the girl, the styles and the colours of the clothes tell us where she perhaps lived and which families she was familiar to. We have to scroll through letters, compare faces and clothes, have fun and be deeply moved, in order to revive a gaze that knows infinity, catalysing magnetically our attention again after five hundred years, as only the immortal works know how”.
By Elisabetta Gnignera.
