Botticelli Magnifico
Thanks to the author’s words we can therefore live the rise of the ‘magnificent’ Botticelli who becomes, starting from the beginning at the Filippo Lippi workshop and the influences of the major Florentine workshops, ‘the most exemplary interpreter of the Renaissance in the time of Lorenzo the Magnificent, the second half of the fifteenth century’. The new images by Scripta Maneant that display the masterpieces on the side walls of the Sistine Chapel compose spectacular sections, deepening also contexts traditionally less celebrated but emotionally overwhelming.
